Wiley's Wisdom

Joy: From the Ground Up

About July 23, 2012

Welcome to the wonderful world of Wiley. Author. Packer fan. Man’s best friend. I am a four-year old terrier mutt with a big heart and a thoughtful mind. Thus I have decided to share my philosophies on joy, sorrow and life’s fascinating lessons via this blog.

  1. […] Wiley Schmidt- at Wiley’s Wisdom. Wiley took me a minute or two to figure out, but Wiley is actually a four-year old terrier mutt who blogs. Geez, there’s no better definition of sweet than a picture of Wiley. Wiley’s been nominated for numerous awards, so I don’t expect him to accept, but I wanted to say “hi.”  HI WILEY! […]

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving the wonderful comments. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. Likes are nice, but comments are the heartbeat of a blogger.
I followed the breadcrumb (dog biscuit) trail back to your blog.

I read, I like, I’m following. HaHaha!! Now you’re stuck with me!

    • As you said, comments are the heartbeat of a blog. So thank you -your comment made my night last night! I’m so happy you followed the breadcrumb (aka doggie biscuit) to my blog! Welcome! 🙂

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog! And for the follow! It’s nice to meet you Wiley! Joyful friends are a good thing!

    • Dear Tami,
I am so grateful my visit to your blog brought you to mine. I love seeing new paw prints on my pages, and I hope this is not the last I’m seeing of you! It’s never too late to try out the blogging abilities of your cat, by the way. I’d read it! 🙂
      Lots of love to you,

Wiley, you are a cutie! I’ve enjoyed my visit here and reading some of your post! I’ve come to understand there is much we humans can learn from your species, such as live in the moment, get plenty of play time, exercise and sleep. Wiley, you know your true being and do not act like a cat, fish or bird. We humans act outside our true being of love pretend to be something we are not by wearing mask. Your kind forgives, does not live in their head, hold onto a wrong or judgments nor care what someone looks like that wants to play, pet or love on you. You are accepting creatures ready to give unconditionally no matter how we humans act. Wiley, we are fortunate to have your kind to learn from as well as share our lives with. Thank you for all the likes. Pam 🙂

    • Well shucks, dear new friend! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed your time visiting my perspective on joy from the ground up. I set out to do exactly as you say in living in the moment, finding sunshine in the darkness, and being my true self even if the world thinks I’m ridiculous. I am so grateful for your words and your thoughtful comments as they are truly the heartbeat of any blogger. Thank you for taking the time to visit – please come see me again soon!

Hello, Wiley, you handsome son-of-a-gun. I am happy to see that you joined our reader family at The Sun Drips Honey. Are you a poet yourself? I have different pages on the site: Friends, where my readers introduce themselves and their blogs; Friends’ Poetry, where I would be happy to post any of your work; and Friends’ Favorites, which is a page for the poems that you love, and/or the ones which inspire you. I hope you’ll jump right in. You are my first reader of the four-legged persuasion, and I hope you and your human enjoy being part of the family. Welcome!

  21. So nice to hear another perspective on life, as my own ‘Wiley’ sits here at my feet keeping watch for any living creature that might threaten me or her territory. Such wisdom, stoicism and unconditional love. We all need to sit up and take notice. (and perhaps someone will give us a biscuit! 😉

    • It sounds to me like you’ve got a keeper of your own “Wiley.” Heaven forbid any harm come to either of you – its a good thing you’ve got a pal to watch over you. 🙂 I showed mom your kind words and earned myself a doggie treat, so thank you kindly. Please don’t be a stranger either – I love seeing new paw prints on all my pages!
      Lots of love,

  22. Kev Says:

    Brilliant approach. Love it! 🙂

  23. windhound Says:

Love your perspective on life. Nothing quite like getting down on the ground to get a clearer view of life. Greetings from my two Dandies. It takes a terrier to truly appreciate a terrier.

  24. Thanks for checking out my blog and for the comment!

  25. pawedblog Says:

Wiley, we have just a little something for you over on our blog because you’re wonderful! http://pawedblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/lucky-little-blogger/

  26. Have you ever considered about adding a little
bit more than just your posts? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
Nonetheless think about if you added some terrific pictures or video clips to
give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is superb however with
images and clips, this website could certainly be one of the most beneficial in its field.
    Wonderful blog!
